spidersolitaireonline.us is a free place to play Spider Solitaire online, at 1 suit, 2 suits or 4 suits, plus a set of other classic solitaire games. Everything runs in your browser: no download, no sign-up, no account.
Our pages ask one question about every game: what does thinking ahead buy you? We measured it by playing the same deals with a quick, greedy approach and with more careful strategies, and we report the difference.

What planning is worth: a few examples
In September 2026 we rebuilt each game in Python, following the rules this site uses, and played thousands of numbered deals. Some results:

The solvers know where every card is, which you do not, so their figures are ceilings. The simple programs never use Undo, so their figures are floors. A thoughtful player lands in between. Each game page gives the full figures, deal counts and 95% ranges, and explains the method.
The games
Besides Spider, you can play classic Solitaire and Solitaire Turn 3, FreeCell, Baker's Solitaire, Yukon, Alaska, Diplomat, Flower Garden, Golf, Pyramid and more. The full list is on the games page.
Every game has large cards with zoom, Hint, unlimited Undo, Restart and Auto Play. Drag and drop or tap to move, mute the sound, go fullscreen or change the table color, on any modern computer, tablet or phone.
How we use AI
An AI assistant, Claude by Anthropic, helped us write and review the simulation code and draft the text on this site. It did not produce any figures. Every number comes from running our code or from a named, linked publication, and our team checked the results and reviewed each page before publishing.
Our standards
- Measured, not guessed. Every figure has a deal count and a 95% range, or a link to its published source.
- Floors and ceilings labeled. Program results are floors; solver results are ceilings; undecided deals are shown as ranges.
- Our own rules. Tests follow the rules as this site plays them.
- Corrections welcome. If something looks wrong, email us and we will check it.
What you won't find here
